Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Range Buddy application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service.

Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update that information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@rangebuddy.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Subscriptions and Payments

Range Buddy offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features require a paid subscription billed monthly ($9.99/mo) or annually ($59.99/yr). All subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You may cancel at any time through your app store account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law or app store policies.
• Pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice provided in advance.

User Content

You retain ownership of any training logs, scores, notes, or other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Range Buddy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You represent that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights and complies with all applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms.

Instructor Services

Range Buddy may connect users with independent firearm instructors ("Coaches"). Coaches are independent contractors, not employees of Range Buddy. We do not endorse, warrant, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any instruction provided. Any agreement between a user and a Coach is solely between those parties. Range Buddy is not liable for any disputes arising from Coach–user interactions.

Safety Disclaimer

Range Buddy provides training resources for informational and educational purposes only. The Service does not replace in-person professional firearms instruction. Always follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding firearm ownership and use. Always handle firearms safely and in accordance with established safety rules. Range Buddy is not responsible for any injury, death, property damage, or legal consequences arising from the use or misuse of any information provided through the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Range Buddy and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if Range Buddy has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, Range Buddy, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending a notification through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
